Job Summary:
Overall, the Technician, Process plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of manufacturing processes in an automotive parts manufacturing company. By monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing processes, they help to maintain product quality, maximize productivity, and drive continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
Your supervisor may from time to time ask you to perform other related duties not specifically included in this job description. This job's key responsibilities include:
  • Process Monitoring: Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure they are running according to established parameters and quality standards. This may involve using various tools and equipment to measure key process variables such as temperature, pressure, cycle times and flow rates.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues or abnormalities in the manufacturing process. Analyze data, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to address process deviations and minimize downtime.
  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize manufacturing processes for improved efficiency, productivity, and quality. Propose and implement process improvements, modifications, or innovations to enhance overall performance.
  • Equipment Programing: Responsible for programming based on parts and verifying color concentrates with minimum scrap output.
  • Quality Control: Work closely with quality control personnel to monitor product quality and consistency throughout the manufacturing process. Conduct inspections, perform quality checks, and address any deviations from quality standards promptly.
Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is typically preferred. Candidates with experience in automotive parts manufacturing or a related industry may have an advantage.
  • Process-related Experience: Experience in process monitoring, optimization, or control is highly desirable. Candidates should have a good understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to troubleshoot process-related issues effectively.
