This role requires expertise in HVAC systems, sheet metal fabrication, and installation techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of HVAC-sheet metal installers on various projects.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork and fittings in accordance with industry standards.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
- Train and mentor junior installers on best practices and safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues on-site.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in safe working condition.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and promote a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in HVAC installation, focusing on sheet metal.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork design, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- OSHA-10 certified
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 75 pounds) and work in various environmental conditions.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
