The Plastic Converting Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining equipment that converts plastic materials into final products such as film rolls, sheets, bags, or molded parts. This role includes quality checks, troubleshooting, machine setup, and ensuring safe, continuous production.
Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate plastic converting machinery (e.g., extrusion, slitting, sealing, thermoforming, or bag-making machines).

Monitor machine parameters and make adjustments to maintain product quality.

Perform visual inspections and quality control checks per specifications.

Load raw materials (resins, plastic rolls, etc.) and unload finished goods.

Troubleshoot mechanical and material issues and notify maintenance as needed.

Maintain accurate production records and downtime logs.

Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.

Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning during and after shifts.

Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding production status and issues.

Help train new operators as needed.
